About Synthfest 2017
On July 29th, 2017 Paul Siwko-Bajon (a.k.a. PSB) presented the 40th Anniversary concert celebration of the Synthesizer in music and film at Buskirk-Chumley Theater in Bloomington, Indiana, USA. This was the first edition of Synthfest USA, the electronic music event devoted to this genre in music. Carefully chosen selections of the last 40 years of famous synthesizer music featured compositions of such giants as Vangelis, Tangerine Dream, Jean Michel Jarre, John Carpenter, Ulrich Schnauss, Giorgio Moroder, Michael Kastrup, Jan Hammer, LOOM, and PSB. Custom made filmes accompanied the music performance. This world-class multimedia experience brought the audience interested in this type of music genre as close as possible to the original sound of classics of electronic music era of the last 40 years. Paul Siwko-Bajon's (PSB) credentials and achievements in music have been supported by his formal music education (Doctor of Music degree from Indiana Iniversity Jacob School of Music), State of Indiana (Indiana Arts Commission two-times Individual Artist Program Grant recipient), and numerous concerts and performances in USA and Europe. The local majore newspaper, The Herald Times, conducted an interview with Paul which has been published in Sunday edition on July 6th, 2017. Here is this article:
